Flexible dictionary to fit different users with different interests

Dictionary can be saved in XML format and can also be imported from text file. You can also export dictionary to text format and print it out. Each dictionary item includes one item text, one english text note, one rich text note, and one voice record. Rich text note supports different languages, like Chinese, Spanish, etc.

Microsoft Text-to-Speak technology builted in

With Microsoft Text-to-Speak technology builted in, the application can speak each dictionary item text and its english text note for you. It is an easy way to learn the pronunciation of any English words and  you can select to listen either US English or British English.

Voice recorder to record and play back your voice notes

User can record their own voice notes for each items and play back later.

Eye protection by a combination of voice functions and loop functions

You don't have to read. Just listen. While looping , each item are spoken and the recorded voice notes are played. At this moment, you can close your tired eyes and just listen. You can record what you hear to a cassette for later listening when traveling.

Non-english notes supported

Rich text note supports other languages. User can insert images and input notes like Chinese, Spanish, etc. However, speaking rich text note is not supported here. You can work around this by using voice recorder provided to record your voice and play.

Layer concept implemented to help user to group items into different layers

Most people will mark those TOUGH words and later go through the whole dictionary to find those bookmarks and do a double-check. This application provides an easy and better way by implement the Layer concept. User can assign an item to a layer and later change its layer easily. So that user can easily group those TOUGH words into a specific layer and check the layer instead.

Random sort function to help user remember the item itself instead of just its location in the dictionary

People who use dictionary book for recital sometimes encounter such a dillema. The sequence of words in the book actually help them to remember, but this kind of HELP won't be available when those words appears in other book. This application provide random sort function to solve this. The item sequence in the dictionary can be randomized with a click of button. Three other sort functions are also provided.
